Book Review: The Giving Tree
Author: Shel Silverstein

The giving tree is a simple read but yet it is enjoyable. The book has very simple illustrations but they speak tremendously of the story. It is suitable for all ages.

It is alway easy to be at the receiving end of things especially if someone is willing to give the things you desire. The story revolves around a boy and a tree, which has a deep love for the boy. The tree keeps on loving the boy despite his self-centeredness. Gives new meaning to what love is.

I would recommend this book because it is enjoyable to read and it highlights one of the most valuable virtues - Love. A good reminder that we should always love and not be self-centered. This is especially important in a world where people only look out for their own self-interest. (read less)
