Funky Business is written by 2 Swedish Professors from Stockholm School of Economics, on their take on what the future business would be and how should companies change in order to survive in the new economy. The tone is more casual than usual business books so as not to dull the reader, but the quality of their points is not compromised, and do have references to back them up. They use the word "funk" to denote anything that deal with the new economy and business. I realized the book was first published in 2000 and was quite surprised how advanced was their thinking at that point in time, as compared to the recent concepts of web 2.0 and business 2.0, which only gathered populace in recent years. They strongly believe in human capital (as shown in their subtitle - "Talent makes capital dance"), and our capability to think will make all the differences. (read less)
