…and just realized the title was just released for loan in NLB. Could have save some $$$ if I check first, but then now I don't need to compete for limited copies at the public library.

Just check the library, do you realize that certain libraries like Bishan, always get the latest IT/Design books. Lucky me that I stay in AMK area.

Yup, I suppose each branch focuses on different subjects/topics. Apart from geographical considerations, I think NLB also take into account their reader demographics to make decisions for books distributions.

I find it a hassle to drop by these branches or make reservations for these titles. So if it's a thought provoking or conceptually inspiring book, I won't mind buying a copy.

I would say it's very conversational in narration, akin to the author's previous title (I suppose you are reading at the moment), so it is easy to grasp the ideas, although I just concentrate on this book a few days ago.

It's kinda quick primer on web ui design, I would say ideal for busy developers/programmers in aspects like usability, IA, accessibility, UX. A good refresher too for people who already knows these stuffs.

If you are looking for something more profound I suggest the following:

It is still a good read though. May be I'm so used to the web ui development thingy, my opinion may not be objective enough.

I like the way it is organized: easy to read short chapters constituted into sections, each focuses on a central theme. Makes reading a breeze.
