★★★★Not bad, quite compelling, read all three within the span of 24 hours, but I can't say I enjoyed it as much as, say, Harry Potter. virlian Yes definitely. The influences went further back. Eg. from mythology. The author cited Greek/Roman influences (http://www.scholastic.com/thehungerga...). The film’s haunting song, Abraham’s Daughter, had biblical roots (http://www.buzzfeed.com/whitneyjeffer...).about 1 year ago . -
