I actually really liked this book, despite the slow start. Once I got passed the first few chapters, I could not put the book down. If you are looking for the romantic-style vampires, this book is not for you. There is quite a bit of blood and violence in this book.

The characters are likeable. I could identify with Carrie (the heroine). Nathan was a nice hero, and Cyrus...although the evil villian, I felt sorry for him. Good read!
