bookjetty is a great site name. For me it conjours warm images of whiling away an afternoon watching the mississippi river slip buy (but with the promise of a huck finn adventure in the air).

that being said, I'd love to see the site extend to support other media (but not lose the name). Audiobooks, music and movies in particular..

On the horizon?

Love the interpretation of BookJetty name hehe..:)

I'm not sure about music and movies though, I know ther's other site that does it www.listal.com. But I find that it's too cluttered with too much information for one website.

It seems to be easier to create a sperate site for Music and Movies, but then there are already quite established players like Fliksters, and etc..

perhaps an idea to wait until you've built up a substantial user base .. .then see what the community wants, yes?

Same here, I would love BookJetty to go beyond books coz I haven't yet found anything as good as bookjetty for music ... maybe bookjetty is too good :)

Thanks khigia, glad to know that. :) I'll keep the option open for future implementation, at the moment, let's work out one good book cataloging system that meet our needs.

anu, mister jugend, I think the second step is internationalization, so another people from another letter can read and write with their letter. :P

hi jugend,

come to think of it, the first "extension" I had in mind - audiobooks - perhaps isn't such an extension after all and keeps within your focus on books.

amazon is already feeding up audiobook titles through bookjetty, but what I'd love to see is audible.com as another search source (since amazon and audible are my two main sources for purchasing books in print or audio).

what do you think?

NB: they also have an affiliate program like amazon. Its more tightly restricted, but I am sure bookjetty would qualify

NB2: I am also thinking of a famous series of podcasts that are sponsored by audible - I'm sure you know which I mean. As it is, bookjetty is well worthy of a mention/review on, say, net@nite. Now if you had audible support I'm sure they would just gush! For consideration ... if you want to push for more users right now;-)

Prata (this really makes me hungry), Hehe..

Thanks for the tip, integrating audible.com catalog sounds really good, since there affiliate programme as well. The integration is going to be slightly different coz there's no API like Amazon to retrieve the information, but they do export out their catalog databse which is not too big. Will have to tweak BookJetty a bit. I'll work on the integration once I got the time.

Anyway, thanks the suggestion Prata, appreciate that very much. The podcast idea sounds really great too!
