Related books (similar content, similar subject ....)

Hey, bookjetty is so great that I keep thinking to it ... bad side of that is that I come up with features I may like to see in it, and that's a lot of work for our bookjetty (tiny) team :)

OK, so what about "related books"?

What I want to do: I want to say "this book on my shelf is quite similar to this other book seen on bookjetty" where "similar" can be a "same content but different publisher", "a different cover", a "different language" ...

Solution suggestion: introduce relations between books.
Interpretation of "related" can vary a lot, and we may want to be able to say what kind of relation it is, like the "similar content", "similar subject", "similar author", ...

That's a good one khigia, I'd definitely love to see similar books feature in BookJetty.

Agree that I'll have to study the relationships between books a bit more, if I'm not mistaken some indexing algorithm are able to point out related items based on certain parameters. I'll have to digg out a bit more on this.

Keep the ideas coming, I won't be able to build a site that meets our needs, if we all don't speak out, but definitely the drawback is the feature creep, but we'll just keep an open mind, be agile and practical. :)
