If you like looking at military strategy, yes. He basically questions what war is all about (one of the first to note how war is rational and political, I believe - the Raison d'Etat) and outlines different aspects of war in very clear coherent terms. But of course, his thought is a reflection of the times he was writing in (turn of the 18th to 19th century), so some things don't quite apply to modern warfare these days.
Karen, I'd love to have Amazon US as the default search too, reason for not using it as default is due to search engine crawl, as with the earlier relase the search engine crawl to Amazon US is quite taxing to the system. And yeah the same reason for the library search.
Btw, BookJetty does remember your last selected search option and listing type. I've just tested it. It's fine when I tested it. The preference is currently stored in cookie, unless that you clear your cookies, or use another browser, it will use the default.
Here was how I did the test:
- Search 'Amazon US', search result shown up
- Click on Home, Amazon US was still selected (Pass)
- Search 'Amazon US', change list type to search Library.
- Search another word, search result still searches library (Pass).
I am thinking to introduce on select change, re-search the query automatically. This will save an additonal click on Search button.
Btw, just a note, related to this issue, has just apply the patch to support OpenSearch, if you are using Firefox or IE7, add BookJetty search engine will automatically appear.
Thanks Karen, that entry wasn't uploaded by me, and I can't update it, I've reported the error. Hopefully they'll do something about it. Basically the 'terms' param is not supported anymore, replace with 'q'.
