I don't care what anyone says - this is one of the few books that I can truly call a page-turner that I've ever read.

Very useful book for anyone building software and trying to scale their apps. Lots of useful nuggets of information in there.

Title: JavaScript: The Good Parts

It's a great book if you haven't already seen Douglas Crockford's work or videos (there're lots in the YUI Theatre). Otherwise, it's pretty much a condensed version of Crockford's site and videos.

I did finally learn one thing though (yes I'm a noob). I finally understood how apply() works. The examples in the book are usually very clear.

Highly recommended if you're new to JavaScript, otherwise, read some blogs, watch some YUI Theatre videos, and check out Crockford's site.

Title: Dragons of Autumn Twilight (Dragonlance: Dragonlance Chronicles)

Ah sweet Dragonlance. I'll always remember reading the extremely thick Chronicles book that I borrowed from the library when I was in primary school and how excited I was on almost every page.

Yes it is about dragons and elves.
